The Westport Arts Council brought together five exceptionally gifted local artists to unleash their creativity on a canvas like no other—Muskoka chairs. A tip of the hat to Andrea Wolfe, April Chamberlain, Carrie King, Corrine Rikkelman and the art students at Rideau District High School. This year’s Art on the Street theme, ‘Music of Westport,’ resonated with boundless inspiration, sparking vibrant interpretations.
Unveiled on Canada Day during the village breakfast, these one-of-a-kind chairs found summer homes in several local businesses: The Cove Country Inn, Rosie Yumski’s Fine Foods, Supernatural Hair Boutique, Pinecone, and Westport Fine Meats.
One chair took center stage in a thrilling Facebook auction, where Mark Hales emerged as the highest bidder—congratulations!
The remaining four chairs awaited their new owners, drawn at MUSICwestport. A heartfelt congratulations to the lucky winners.
