By popular demand, WAC is proud to bring Driftwood Theatre Group back to Lockwood Park for their presentation of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.
Like, hop in your DeLorean and travel back in time with Driftwood Theatre to the totally awesome 1980s. When cool dude Petruchio meets Kate, the queen of mean, sparks fly in Shakespeare’s most controversial romantic comedy, The Taming of the Shrew. This most epic battle of the sexes will entertain audiences of all ages in this summer’s outdoor theatre production.
Directed by D. Jeremy Smith. Starring Geoffrey Armour as Petruchio, Siobhan Richardson as Kate, Renée Hackett, Drew O’Hara, Paolo Santalucia, Fiona Sauder and Tahirih Vejdani.

For the third year, WAC welcomes Driftwood Theatre back to Westport for an outdoor performance of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Under the stars at Lockwood Park on 6 August 2015, it’s Hamlet like you’ve never seen it before: a thrilling new adaptation by dramaturg Toby Malone that is unpredictable, unsettling and downright dangerous – Hamlet with the brakes off. Newcomers to Hamlet and Shakespearean aficionados will delight in this version; a perfect match for Driftwood’s inventive theatrical style and magical outdoor settings.
Rain or shine event! We will move into the arena if there is inclement weather.
St. Paul’s and St. Mary’s Anglican churches will be running a canteen: fresh corn, hot dogs & drinks.
