Singing in Community: The Breath, the Vowel, and Aerodynamics led by Nicola Oddy

Experience the difference it makes when the vowel shape we make creates an aerodynamic environment that enables us to project, stay in tune, increase our range and inject energy into our sound!  We’ll spend the morning trying techniques for exploring the breath and vowel shape and notice the difference in the result.

Choral Festival 1:30

The afternoon will be songs, songs and more songs.

Each choir will have 20 minutes to sing songs of their choosing.  The Westport Arts Council is expecting to see a wide variety of music and it is sure to be a great afternoon.  A panel of 3 choral experts from the area will be available to provide constructive feedback and next steps to take your choir to the next level.

Mass Choir from 3:30

The festival concludes with a mass choir singing 3 selections.

Hallelujah – Leonard Cohen, Arranged by Roger Emerson
