MUSICwestport 2025 Wrap-Up
The Village of Westport came alive on Saturday, August 16th for the 17th annual MUSICwestport festival—and what a day it was!
This year, Lockwood Park was buzzing with family fun: cloggers, hoop dancers, a magician, face painting, and plenty to keep the kids smiling. Down by the harbour, Artist Alley brought a splash of creativity with hands-on painting—rocks, keychains, and even a community mural of Westport Harbour.
Music filled the village streets and stages, with The Cove Inn delivering its eclectic mix of performers. The wandering minstrels were a crowd favourite, located at different spots with toe-tapping tunes that surprised and delighted festival-goers. Everywhere you turned, people were lounging on the grass, wandering between venues, and enjoying the perfect summer day.
The two village museums opened their doors, and local storytellers shared amazing tales from Westport’s past, weaving history right into the festival atmosphere.
