Summer Fun Art Camps

Westport Arts Council Presents some Summer Fun Art Camps for kids. Throughout July and August, come create, play, and have fun! With a wide range of activities, there is something for everyone. Limited spaces, pre-registration is required.

Drama Camp — FULL

Practice and perform a play at the end of the week.

When: July 4-8th 9 am to 4 pm

Ages: 6-13

Cost:  $50 

Dot Art

Create a picture with dot art.

When: July 9th 

Ages: 6-9 from 9 am to noon

Ages: 10-14 from 2 pm to 5 pm

Cost: $10 per session

Creative Card Making

When:  July 13th

Ages: 6-9 from 9-11 am

Ages: 10-14 from 1-3 pm

Cost: $5 per session

Plasticine Art

When: July 20th from 9 am to noon

Ages: 8-12 

Cost: $10 

Friendship Bracelets

Make a bracelet to take home

When:  July 27th 

Ages 6-9 from 9-11 am

Ages 10-14 from 1-3 pm

Cost: $5 per session

Stained Glass Angel 

When:  August 3rd 10 am to 2:30

Ages:  11-13

Cost:  $10 

Upcycled Teacup and Saucer Mosaic — NEW SPACES AVAILABLE

When:  August 10th from 9 am to 1 pm

Ages: 8-12

Get out your good plaid shirts, shine up yer boots, and come out for a sociable! The annual WAC East Coast Kitchen Party will be comin’ round with an afternoon of good-time, down-home, family fun. Featuring live music from the East Coast Experience (www.ecex.ca), dancing, 50/50, and a silent auction curated by the WAC board of directors plus more!

Classical Pianist: Vladimir Soloviev

WAC proudly presents award winning classical concert pianist Vladimir Solviev.
With a special feature performance of “Years of Pilgrimage: Italy” by Liszt, join us 7pm, Friday November 1st at Knox Presbyterian. Entrance by donation. 
Chamber musician and choral conductor, Toronto-based Soloviev is a musician of a versatile repertoire. He has championed the music of contemporary Canadian composers, as well as works of Beethoven, Liszt and Rachmaninoff. Performing in concert across Canada, as well as the US, Italy, France, Spain and Russia, including appearances at Weill Recital Hall (Carnegie), Bohemian National Hall, the Canadian Music Center, and Sala del Notari. To kick the MUSICwestport festival off in style, WAC in conjunction with My DogSpa Grooming Salon and Christine Jennings Realator is proud to present Jaron Freeman-Fox & The Opposite of Everything on the evening of 14 August 2015 at The Cove Country Inn. $10 fundraiser cover charge. Summer Kick Off Party!

 

In case you didn’t notice, summer has begun! WAC officially kicked off the summer season with Montreal soul band The Key Lites on May 17, 2014. As our main fundraiser for the MUSICwestport Open Air Festival, the Cove Country hosted music lovers of all ages who came out swinging.
