Dance into the night at The Cove after festival day! MUSICwestport After Hours presents DJ Mike Sitchon.
DJ, promoter, and all-around music lover,DJ Mike Sitchon hails from Burridge, ON via Toronto. He spent years holding down residencies at many of Toronto’s major nightclubs including The Guvernment, Phoenix and Roxy Blu, all the while promoting his own shows and DJing special events with such luminaries as Jamiroquai & Salt-N-Pepa making appearances on internationally acclaimed shows such as Electric Circus on MuchMusic! Mike has had a lot of time to develop his sound. For him, it’s all about great music and making you happy…just playing the tracks!

Some Kind of Choir 2018

Of course we’re back! WAC’s Some Kind of Choir will be starting it’s third season this January. If  you love to sing, join us Sunday afternoons for choir practice. There are no auditions and no experience is needed. With a relaxed, friendly, and fun environment, everyone and anyone can discover the simple joy of singing. Register and pay online or through mail.

 Sunday afternoons from 2 – 4 p.m.

Choir Director: Cordon Purcell is a Music Therapist working in Leeds and Grenville. She is currently completing her Masters of Music Therapy degree at Concordia University in Montreal. She hails from Prescott, grew up singing in choirs in Brockville, and continued singing throughout university. Choir is something that she loves to do, and she is excited to work with Some Kind of Choir for a second year!

Registration is $50 per person. Completed registration forms and cheques can be sent to Westport Arts Council, P.O. Box 2, Westport, ON, K0G 1X0. Forms can also be emailed to info@westportartscouncil.com and registration paid through email transfer.

“Wow” is the only word we can think of to describe MUSICwestport 2017! From the smash hit of The PepTides at Friday’s kick-off party to the perfect weather and continuous summer sounds from new bands and old favourites. We want to thank everyone who participated in the event from our artists, sponsors, volunteers, and, of course, all those who travelled to Westport to enjoy the music and so much more!
